Welcome to the Pennington Conservancy

About Us

The Pennington Conservancy is an urban conservancy situated on the KZN South Coast, including the area between the Mzinto River in the north and the Mkumbane River in the south.

Our little coastal village of Pennington is such an area. We are incredibly lucky to have ocean, forests, rivers, estuaries, and wetlands all worthy of our protection. That is what the Pennington Conservancy Committee, with the help of dedicated volunteers, strives to do every day.

Our Mission Statement

To beautify and indigenise Pennington village and to preserve in perpetuity the natural environment of coastal and riverine forest, coastal bush and grasslands of the area for the benefit of the creatures occurring there, and the delight of present and future generations of humankind.
